A ‘Practical’ Approach to Addressing Security Risks in ‘Your’ Community including the Courthouse, Schools/Colleges, Churches, Wal-Mart/Shopping Centers, Railroads, Highways, Athletic Events and other potential targets of "terrorist, the mentally ill and common criminals. Prepared Especially for Law Enforcement; Jailers; Judges; Court Officials, Prosecutors, Probation Officers; County Commissioners all Elected Official/Courthouse Tenants and their staffs and School Security Officers. 
Attendance is ‘restricted’ to those who have
“A Need to Know.”  All Law Enforcement Officers/Jailers; Elected Officials; Department Heads; Employees in the Courthouse or individuals ‘directly’ involved in Courthouse Activities; and City and School Officials qualify and are invited.

Crisis Intervention Training
8:00 am - 5:00 pm both days

Course Goal:
To provide a basic understanding of how to use communication techniques to de-escalate situations involving individuals in serious mental health crises to the point where you can safely get them under control.

Topics discussed are:
Active Listening, Psychosis, Depression & Suicide, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Psychopharmacology, Legal Aspects, Domestic Disturbances, Autism, Mental Retardation, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Strategies & Possible Challenges.
