Items Required by the Committee for Case Assessment
- All Investigative Reports
- Photographs:
- Complete photographs of the crime scene.
- Color photos of the victim.
- The larger the photo, the better. The camera should focus on the depth and extent of the wounds.
- Body positioning, different angles.
- If residence is involved, photos of other rooms, including a crime scene sketch which depicts the entire scene and floor plan of the residence.
- If possible, photos of the area to include an aerial shot to show relationship of body placement to area.
- Neighborhood and complex
- Racial, ethnic and social data
- Medical Examiner's Report (Autopsy Protocol)
- Photos to show full extent of damage to body
- Stabbing, number of cuts
- Gun shot
- Bruises
- Lividity
- Etc.
- Laboratory reports (if available)
- Are wounds post mortem?
- Feel of the medical examiner which is not committed to the report
- Map of the victim's travel prior to death
- Place employed
- Residence
- Where last seen
- Crime scene location
- County
- City
