124th Annual Training Conference
July 28-31, 2002
Fort Worth
The Sheriffs of Texas began annual training conferences in 1878. These
training conferences today are the largest composite gathering of law
enforcement officers in Texas. Sheriffs and other county and local law
enforcement officers, federal and state officers, and major industry security
personnel attend. The Conference Program has a special emphasis on concurrent
training sessions featuring a number of choices of topics for the participants.
By having most of the sessions repeated in different time slots, the participants
can select those subjects deemed most appropriate for their areas of responsibility.
The sessions provide training hours for Texas Commission on Law Enforcement
Officer Standards and Education credits.
